A SIAMS inspection took place in January 2017 which inspects the school as a church school.  It recognises the school as good in terms of meeting the needs of learners through its distinctive Christian character and that the effectiveness of leadership and management of the school as a church school is good.  The impact of collective worship and effectiveness of RE are satisfactory and we meet all statutory requirements.  Click on the file above to read the full report.

Since our last Ofsted inspection in March 2015 (see below) the school has been working hard and has made good progress.  See attached news release about the School Review carried out in November 2016 by the Good Shepherd Multi Academy Trust.

The school was inspected in March 2015 and was judged to be a school that 'requires improvement'.  This means the school was not judged to be securely good although there were many aspects that were recognised to be good.  The report identifies the strengths of the school but also identifies a numbers of areas that require improvement for the school to be judged 'good'. There were no areas identified to be inadequate or unsatisfactory. The school has addressed the areas that required improvement through a robust action plan which is regularly reviewed to ensure it is having a positive impact.  The school had a monitoring visit on 29th June 2015 to check on progress and the letter feeding back on this is included above and shows the school took effective action to deal with the areas that needed improvement.  This action continued during the academic year 2015-16 when the main focus areas were Building Learning Power (to improve attitudes to learning), Read Write Inc (to improve progress in writing and phonics) and Early Excellence (to improve provision and learning in Early years).  A further action plan is in place for the current year with different areas of focus for each term.
